  • Take Back the Night @ Ohio University

    Take Back the Night is sponsored by Student Senate, Women's Center, Survivor Advocacy Program, Campus Involvement Center, My Sister's Place, Counseling and Psychological Services, Graduate Student Senate, Housing and Residence Life, and the Survivor Advocacy Outreach Program. Take Back the Night is an annual event to take back the night from sexual and domestic violence.   • Sexual Assault in Indian Country and Beyond

    Mary Annette Pember, an award-winning Indigenous journalist and expert on covering sexual assault, trauma, policy, health and the environment, will advise students and attendees on how to cover sexual assault cases and share expert thoughts on coverage of violence against women. Her keynote address will be followed by a panel of students, Dr. Patty Stokes of WGSS, who has expertise in the prevention and aftermath of sexual assault, and WOUB Editor-In-Chief Allison Hunter. The event will be streamed live on https://acrn.com. After the panel, refreshments and beverages will be provided. Cosponsored by the Native American Journalists Association, E. W. Scripps School of Journalism, Scripps College of Communication, Institute for Applied and Professional Ethics, SPJ OHIO Student Chapter, ACRN, and the LGBT Center
